Antique Heart Andirons

Andirons were first used in the 16th century. Functionally designed and decorative, andirons were used to lift logs up off the hearth floor to increase air circulation underneath for a more robust fire. This hand wrought set with hearts that adjust up and down is one of a kind. Truly a fine example of great folk art.
